Lot 1033: Ethan Allen Framed Engraving After Ruysdael, Wooded Landscape with Great Tree, Green Mat, Silver Frame, 26.5 x 22.5 in

One big tree, one quiet road, and a sky that goes on for days. This is a hand finished reproduction of an antique engraving after Jacob van Ruysdael, the Dutch master of moody landscapes, titled simply RUYSDAEL at the top of the plate. A massive leafy tree anchors the scene beside a country lane, with figures and cottages tucked into the distance.

Sold by Ethan Allen as part of a matched pair (look for its partner, Lot 1034), with the original Ethan Allen label and catalog number U76456 A still on the back. Presented under glass with a deep green mat, gold fillet and a brushed silver frame. Classic library and study decor, and an easy way to make a wall look like it has a story.

Condition: Good. Clean print and mat. Light wear to the frame and backing paper as shown.

Size: 26.5 x 22.5 in. All measurements are approximate.
