Lot 603: Mid Century Modern Golden Cityscape Painting, Skyline and Bridge at Sunset, 28 x 22 in

A skyline at golden hour, seen through what looks like a gallon of molten sunset. A suspension bridge stretches across the harbor, spires and towers scratch upward in inky black, and the whole city pools back into the water as a reflection. Very 1960s cocktail lounge, in the best possible way.

Painted in that classic mid century palette knife and sgraffito style: warm gold, tangerine, and copper, with the dark city lines scored straight into the paint while it was wet.

Unsigned, on a panel, unframed, so it is ready for whatever frame or bare wall you have in mind.

This is the piece that makes a room look like it has a martini in its hand.

Condition: Very good. Painted on hardboard and sold unframed. Front is clean with no losses. Light edge wear and small rubs on the back edges of the board.

Size: 28 x 22 in. All measurements are approximate.
